Our Domestic Cats

At Avalo every cat has a story. Michelle Donlick knows them all.

Of course, she does. Michelle was part of every rescue, dropoff and phone call that led to a cat coming to Avalo. Like the phone call that came in 2017, during Hurricane Irma, when a neighbor asked for help with a kitten crying from underneath his truck. Michelle walked half a mile through high winds and fierce rain to rescue the orange kitten. On their way to Avalo, the little kitty rode on Michelle’s shoulder. Today, Irma, who barely survived the storm she’s named after, still loves riding on people’s shoulders (see photos, below).

We don’t have enough space to showcase all 250 of our domestic cats. Below are just a few of our beautiful babies.

To learn more about our cats, follow us on Facebook or invite Michelle to speak to your class, organization or group.
